North Iowa Bulls at the top of the standings after win over Austin Bruins

The North Iowa Bulls are the new leaders thanks to 3-2 win on road against the Austin Bruins. North Iowa is one point clear of the Austin Bruins at the top of the standings.

The first period was scoreless.

Early into the second period, the Bruins took the lead when Walter Zacher opened the scoring assisted by Sam Christiano and Bryan Gilman.

Bulls' Eli Miller tallied a goal seven minutes into the period, making the score 1-1. Cayden Casey assisted.

The Bulls made it 2-1 halfway through when Max Scott scored, assisted by Paavo Hiltunen and Logan Dombrowsky.

The Bulls made it 3-1 again with a goal from Byron Hartley with 04.56 remaining in the third period and came even closer to victory.

The Bruins closed the gap to 3-2 with a goal from Dylan Cook with just one minute left on the clock, adding some tension late in the game.
