Norsemen win in overtime against Bobcats
With no decisive score in regulation, the Bismarck Bobcats' home game against the St. Cloud Norsemen ran into overtime on Saturday. St. Cloud snatched the win with a final score of 3-2.
With no decisive score in regulation, the Bismarck Bobcats' home game against the St. Cloud Norsemen ran into overtime on Saturday. St. Cloud snatched the win with a final score of 3-2.
The game-winning goal was scored by St. Cloud's Peyton Hanson.
The Bobcats opened strong, taking the lead when Paul Huglen opened the scoring after 7:55, but the Norsemen's Ethan Benz tied it up in the middle in the period.
Adam Pietila scored in the middle of the second period, assisted by Jake Mclean and Jon Ziskie, to give the Bobcats the lead.
In the third, Nik Hong scored 14 minutes into the third period, assisted by Ethan Benz and Evan Murr, to tie the game for the Norsemen. With this goal, the score was tied and then, the game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 13:29 before Peyton Hanson scored the game-winner for the road team, assisted by Evan Murr and Nik Hong.
The teams meet again on Monday, May 2 at 7 p.m. CST, this time in St. Cloud at St. Cloud Municipal Athletic Complex.
