Norsemen up 2-1 after another win over Wings

The St. Cloud Norsemen have the upper hand in the series against the Aberdeen Wings, after winning 3-2 on road in overtime. St. Cloud leads the series by 2-1 games, and only needs one more win to make it to semi finals.

The St. Cloud Norsemen have the upper hand in the series against the Aberdeen Wings, after winning 3-2 on road in overtime. St. Cloud leads the series by 2-1 games, and only needs one more win to make it to semi finals.

The game-winning goal was scored by St. Cloud's Broten Sabo.

The Norsemen opened strong, taking the lead early when Jackson Hughes scored the first goal after 2:50, but the Wings' Jacob Bosse tied it up late in the period.

The Norsemen made it 2-1 again with a goal from Gramm McCormack at 3:33 into the second period.

The Wings came back and made it 2-2 after Will Gilson found the back of the net in the period.

The third period was scoreless, bringing the game into overtime.

In overtime, it took 54:32 before Broten Sabo scored the game-winner for the away team.

The teams play each other again for Game 4 on Saturday, May 14 at 7:15 p.m. CST at Odde Ice Center.
