Norsemen beat Wolverines in overtime

The St. Cloud Norsemen hosted the Anchorage Wolverines in the action on Friday in what was expected to be a close game. The game went into overtime and St. Cloud prevailed. The final score was 3-2.

The St. Cloud Norsemen hosted the Anchorage Wolverines in the action on Friday in what was expected to be a close game. The game went into overtime and St. Cloud prevailed. The final score was 3-2.

The game-winning goal was scored by St. Cloud's Blake Perbix.

The first period was scoreless.

In the middle of the second period, the Norsemen took the lead when Nik Hong opened the scoring assisted by Blake Perbix.

In the third, Jeremiah Konkel scored early into the third period, assisted by Daniel Murnieks, increasing the lead for the Norsemen.

Jackson Reineke scored just one minute later, assisted by Danny Reis and David Tolan, narrowing the gap for the Wolverines.

Wilson Dahlheimer scored a goal six minutes later, assisted by Clay Allen, to tie the game. With this goal, the score was tied and then, the game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 1:29 before Blake Perbix scored the game-winner for the home team, assisted by Hunter Hanson and Duke Kiffin.
