The IceRays went up 2-1 after early into the period when Jude Kurtas found his mark, assisted by Jack Wandmacher.
The Corpus Christi IceRays scored two more goals in the third period, and broke the game open.
The Mudbugs closed the gap to 4-2 with a goal from Drake Morse with just one minute left on the clock, adding some tension late in the game.
The Mudbugs were whistled for just six penalties, while the IceRays spent 12 minutes in the penalty box.

On Friday, April 5, Mudbugs will host the El Paso Rhinos at 7:11 p.m. CST at George's Pond Hirsch Coliseum and IceRays will play against the Lone Star Brahmas at 7:30 p.m. CST at NYTEX Sports Centre.
