The Mudbugs opened strong, as the game was just getting started with Garrett Steele scoring at 3:34, goal assisted by Jacob Onstott and Carter Green.

The Mudbugs made it 2-0 with a goal from Timofei Khokhlachev with 02.17 remaining in the second period and came even closer to victory.

Sully Scholle narrowed the gap somewhat, but the Ice Wolves didn't come any closer than 2-1.

The third period was scoreless as the Mudbugs held on to their 2-1 lead and won.
