The Minot Minotauros have gone through a tough spell with a run of four straight defeats. But after a 5-1 victory over the St. Cloud Norsemen, things are looking brighter.
The visiting Minotauros took the lead in the middle of the first period, with a goal from Cooper Rice. Justin Dauphinais and Max Martin assisted.
The Minotauros increased the lead to 2-0 early into the second period when Nick O'hanisain beat the goalie, assisted by Colby Joseph and Tory Lund.
Late, Chase LaPinta scored a goal, assisted by Ben Johnson and Hunter Longhi, making the score 3-0.
The Norsemen narrowed the gap to 3-1 within the first minute of the third period when Daniels Murnieks found the back of the net, assisted by Ryan Cutler and Broten Sabo.
The Minotauros increased the lead to 4-1 early in the third when Justin Dauphinais netted one, assisted by Cooper Rice and Colby Woogk.
John Emmons increased the lead to 5-1 nine minutes later, assisted by Ben Johnson.
