The Windigo started off strong and took the lead right after the beginning of the game with Tyler Grahme scoring in the first period, a goal assisted by Zachary Cline and Mario DiMaggio.
The Windigo increased the lead to 2-0 in the first period when Will Schumacher scored, assisted by Luke Levandowski and Cole Mickel.
The Windigo increased the lead to 3-0 with a goal from Luke Levandowski in the middle of the first period, assisted by Mario DiMaggio and Victor Widlund.
The Steel's J.J. Grainda narrowed the gap to 3-1 late into the first.
Three goals were scored in the second period, and the Windigo led 5-2 going in to the third period.
Ryan Remick narrowed the gap to 5-3 late in the third period, assisted by Will Killoran.
The Windigo increased the lead to 6-3 with 01.02 remaining of the third after a goal from Cameron Boche, assisted by Luke Levandowski.
