The Kenai River Brown Bears players took the lead early into the first period, a goal by Jack Anderson. Hunter Newhouse and Kotaro Tsutsumi assisted.
Ryan Berglund tied the game 1-1 halfway through the third period, assisted by Cole Mickel and Maxwell Beckford. With this goal, the score was tied and then, the game went to overtime.
In overtime, it took 56 seconds before Kotaro Tsutsumi scored the game-winner for the home team, assisted by Bryce Monrean and Caleb Huffman.
