The hosting Johnstown Tomahawks players took the lead in the first period, a goal by Ryan Panico. Ethan Perrault and Zach Hixon assisted.

Anthony Galante increased the lead to 2-0 early in the third period, assisted by Tyler DesRochers.

David Deputy narrowed the gap to 2-1 five minutes later, assisted by Tyler Stern and Connor Sedlak.
