The Jackalopes opened strong, taking the lead when Trevor Taulien opened the scoring after 4:03, but the Ice Wolves' Sully Scholle tied it up late in the period.

The Jackalopes made it 2-1 again with a goal from Dayne Hoyord at just 13 seconds into the second period.

The Ice Wolves turned the game around when they made three straight goals and went from 2-1 to 4-2.

The Ice Wolves continued to be dominant in the third period and won 7-2 in the end. The goals in the final period were scored by Sully Scholle, Sully Scholle and Grant Ellings.

The Ice Wolves were whistled for 35 penalties, while the Jackalopes spent 39 minutes in the penalty box.
