After that the game entered an indecisive standstill. William Howard scored late in the second period, assisted by Dillan Bentley and Sully Scholle, to give the Ice Wolves the lead.

The Warriors started the third period strongly and tied the game at 2-2 when Carter Korpi scored after 3:18.
