Heaps of Minnesota, North Dakota players selected in NAHL Draft

Over 30 players from Minnesota and North Dakota were selected in the 2022 NAHL draft

The North American Hockey League's annual draft is now complete and over 30 Minnesotan and North Dakotan players heard their names called during the event.

While some area players were selected before the draft by signing a tender , many others were hoping to be selected to a team during Wednesday afternoon's draft.

The Janesville Jets selected two Minnesota players who last played with Waterloo of the USHL in the first round. Jacob Jeanette of Duluth went sixth while Jake Schneider of Plymouth, Minn., went 15th overall.

The Minot Minotarous took the first North Dakota player off the board when the team selected Carter Sproule of Grand Forks Red River at No. 60 in the third round.
