The hosting Hat Tricks took the lead at 9:54 in the first period, with a goal scored by Gabe Dombrowski.
The Titans turned the game around when they made four straight goals and went from 1-0 to 4-1.
The Titans took the lead 5-1 again when Owen Luik beat the goalie after 30 seconds in the third period.
Boris Skalos narrowed the gap somewhat, but the Hat Tricks didn't come any closer than 5-2. The New Jersey Titans took a solid victory.

The Hat Tricks were called for six penalty minutes, while the Titans received four minutes.
Next up, the Hat Tricks face the Johnstown Tomahawks at 6:30 p.m. CST at 1st Summit Arena, while the Titans face the Maryland Black Bears home at 6:30 p.m. CST at Middletown Ice World Arena. Both games will be played on Friday.
