Great celebration scenes as Brahmas secured title

The Lone Star Brahmas had every reason to celebrate after a 5-2 win at home against the Corpus Christi IceRays. The result means that Lone Star Brahmas has sealed the title.

The hosting Brahmas took the lead, with a goal scored by Nicholas Niemo. Luke Beerman assisted.

Johan Rosenquist scored late into the period, assisted by Kyle Furey and Mason Mara, to give the Brahmas the lead.

The Brahmas took the lead 3-0 when Kyle Furey scored after 4:25 in the third period.

The IceRays narrowed the gap to 3-1 after Jude Kurtas found the back of the net in the period.

The Brahmas made it 4-1 again with a goal from Artur Turansky at 9:43 into the period.

The IceRays came back once again, making it 4-2 after Nathan Butler beat the goalie in the period.

The Brahmas managed to decide the game 5-2 with 07.44 left when Blake Benson netted one.

The Brahmas were whistled for 16 penalties, while the IceRays received 10 penalties.

The result means the Brahmas have secured the title.

The Brahmas have now won seven straight home games.

These teams will meet again on Saturday, April 6 at 7:45 p.m. CST as they play each other at NYTEX Sports Centre.
