The Fairbanks Ice Dogs bested the visiting Minnesota Wilderness 5-3 on Saturday.

The hosting team took the lead early into the first period, with a goal from Justin Biraben. Tyler Herzberg and Joey Potter assisted.

The Wilderness tied the game 1-1 late in the first when Eddie Shepler scored, assisted by Adam Johnson and Ren Morque.

The second period ended with a 4-3 lead for the Ice Dogs.

Domenick Evtimov increased the lead to 5-3 late into the third period, assisted by Julian Recine.
