The hosting Wings started off sharp and took the lead right after the puck drop with Jacob Bosse scoring in the first minute, goal assisted by Ronan Walsh and Hugo Gustafsson.

The Bobcats tied it back up at 16:09 of the period, after a Ben Troumbly goal assisted by Ryan Taylor and Jake Mclean.

The Bobcats also took the lead at 18:57 of the period, after a Calvin Hanson goal assisted by Quinn Rudrud.

The Bobcats scored in the second, receiving goals from Quinn Rudrud and Nico Chmelevski (2).

The Wings narrowed the gap to 5-2 with 01.42 of play remaining in the third period after a goal from Jackson Yee, assisted by Kevin MacKay.

The Wings were called for 10 penalty minutes, while the Bobcats spent eight minutes in the penalty box.

Both teams are back in action on Friday, with the Wings hosting the North Iowa Bulls at 7:30 p.m. CST at Mason City Arena and the Bobcats visiting the Minot Minotauros at 7:35 p.m. CST at Pepsi Rink at Maysa Arena.
