The Fairbanks Ice Dogs players tied the score 1-1 early in the second period when Billy Renfrew scored, assisted by Domenick Evtimov and McCabe Dvorak.
The Fairbanks Ice Dogs players made it 2-1 halfway through when Brady Welsch beat the goalie, assisted by Tyler Herzberg.
Late, the Chippewa Steel players made it 2-2 with a goal from Sam Rice.

The Chippewa Steel players took the lead early in the third period when Kade Nielsen netted one, assisted by Zach Sondreal.
Matthew Brille increased the lead to 4-2 two minutes later.
Kade Nielsen increased the lead to 5-2 late into the third.
