The North Iowa Bulls have gone through a tough spell with a run of six straight defeats. But after a 5-3 victory over the Minot Minotauros, things are looking brighter.
The Bulls started the game strong, with two quick goals from Greg Japchen and Hunter Bulger.
The Minotauros narrowed the gap to 2-1 after Colby Joseph netted one in the second period.
The Bulls took the lead 3-1 again when Byron Hartley scored with 07.30 remaining in the period and came even closer to victory.
The Minotauros came back once again, making it 3-2 after Brayden Beahm beat the goalie in the period.

The Bulls scored again, making it 4-2 with a goal from Carter Rapalje with 03.50 remaining in the period and came even closer to victory.
The Minotauros made it 4-3 after David Nesburg found the back of the net in the period.
The Bulls increased the lead to 5-3 with 01.13 of play remaining in the third period after a goal from Byron Hartley, assisted by Joey Potter and Hunter Garvey.
The Bulls were whistled for 15 penalty minutes, while the Minotauros received 8 minutes.
These teams will soon play each other again in the next matchup on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. CST at Mason City Arena.
