The New Jersey Titans defeated the visiting Maine Nordiques 5-1 on Saturday.

The hosting Titans opened strong, right at the beginning of the game with Ben Yurchuk scoring in the first minute, goal assisted by Michael Young and Anthony Calafiore.

The Titans increased the lead to 2-0 halfway through the first period when Ben Muthersbaugh scored.

The Titans also increased the lead to 3-0 with a goal from Reece Brednich late in the first, assisted by Brady Hildreth and Ethan Wongus.

The second period ended with a 5-1 lead for the Titans.
