The Bismarck Bobcats won the home game against the Minot Minotauros 8-1 on Wednesday.

The Bismarck Bobcats won the home game against the Minot Minotauros 8-1 on Wednesday.

The Bobcats started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with Vertti Jantunen scoring in the first period, a goal assisted by Evan Hunter and Michael Neumeier.

The Bobcats increased the lead to 2-0 in the first period when Alexander Palchik struck, assisted by Brandon Reller and Nolan Nenow.

The Bobcats' Alexander Palchik increased the lead to 3-0 halfway through the first period, assisted by Michael Neumeier and Kyle Doll.

The Bobcats increased the lead to 4-0 in the middle of the first when Erik Atchison scored, assisted by Nick Baer.

The second period ended with a 7-1 lead for the Bobcats.

The Bobcats increased the lead to 8-1 with 15 seconds remaining of the third period after a goal from Landon Fandel, assisted by Evan Hunter and Alexander Palchik.

The Bobcats were called for seven penalties, while the Minotauros received five penalties.
