Bismarck Bobcats score and win with five goals in third period

The home-team North Iowa Bulls were still very much in the game and winning against the Bismarck Bobcats before the third period in the matchup. But then, Bismarck made an effort and fought back to win by 8-1.

The home-team North Iowa Bulls were still very much in the game and winning against the Bismarck Bobcats before the third period in the matchup. But then, Bismarck made an effort and fought back to win by 8-1.

The hosting team took the lead in the first period, with a goal from Max Scott. Byron Hartley and Justin Mexico assisted.

Brandon Reller scored in the middle of the second period, assisted by Luke Roelofs and Erik Atchison.

Midway through, Vertti Jantunen scored a goal, assisted by Michael Neumeier and Patrick Johnson, making the score 2-1.

Calvin Hanson then tallied a goal late, making the score 3-1. Brandon Reller and Erik Atchison assisted.

The Bobcats increased the lead to 4-1, after only 48 seconds into the third period when Adam Pietila beat the goalie, assisted by Vertti Jantunen and Chase Beacom.

Alexander Palchik increased the lead to 5-1 six minutes later, assisted by Kyle Doll and Calvin Hanson.

Calvin Hanson increased the lead to 6-1 three minutes later, assisted by Drew Holt.

The Bobcats increased the lead to 7-1 with 01.13 remaining of the third period after a goal from Erik Atchison, assisted by Julian Beaumont.
