The visiting Wolverines opened strong, as the game was just getting started with Cameron Morris scoring in the first period, goal assisted by Aiden Westin and Layten Liffrig.

The Ice Dogs tied the game 1-1 quickly in the first period when Marc Lund scored, goal assisted by Caden Pendo and Colin Goff.

The Wolverines scored again in the middle of the first period when Cooper Morris scored, assisted by Kyle Bauer and Wilson Dahlheimer.

The second period ended with a 3-2 lead for the Wolverines.

The Wolverines increased the lead to 4-2 with 37 seconds of play remaining in the third period after a goal from Kyle Bauer.
