The hosting team took the lead in the first period, with a goal scored by Johnny Mead. Jagur McClelland and Andrew Schultz assisted.
The Jr. Bues scored in the second, with goals from Cole Lonsdale and Nikita Nikora.
The Ice Dogs narrowed the gap to 3-1 after Julian Recine scored in the third period.
The Jr. Bues scored again, making it 4-1 with a goal from Tyler Borgula with 05.09 remaining in the period and came even closer to victory.

Tyler Herzberg closed the gap for the Ice Dogs at 4-2, and gave the game life once more with just two minutes of play remaining.
The Jr. Bues managed to decide the game 5-2 with 13 seconds left when Tyler Borgula netted one.
