Meet Pierre-Paul Lamoureux, hockey authority for The Rink Live
Read about the experience and expertise former NHL scout and USHL coach Pierre-Paul Lamoureux brings to The Rink Live team. Pierre’s knowledge and leadership provides the comprehensive hockey news
My love for hockey started at a young age. One of my first hockey memories was skating with my brothers and sisters on a pond outside our parents house. Even then, I knew I always wanted to be a part of the great sport of hockey.
I played high school hockey for Grand Forks Central and eventually went on to play for the Bismarck Bobcats, Red Deer Rebels, Tri-City Storm and University of Manitoba. After my playing career, I held various scouting and coaching positions in the NCAA, USHL, WHL and NHL. As a coach and a scout, I believe there’s nothing better than aiding the development of the young men under my watch and discovering prospective talent. The players who are on the ice because they truly love the sport, are the ones to watch. This sport has so much to offer whether you’re a fan, player or coach. I’m thankful for the camaraderie and friendships I’ve had the pleasure of building because of hockey throughout the years.
As a former player, NHL scout and head coach for the USHL Fargo Force, I know how passionate hockey fans are in this region. That’s why the hockey community deserves the best, most comprehensive coverage of the sport. That’s the role we want The Rink Live to play for hockey fans.
While The Rink Live already provides premier hockey news and coverage in the upper Midwest, I joined this team to take it to the next level. Leading this team of phenomenal reporters,I’ve learned a lot from everyone on this journey and am excited for the next chapter of The Rink Live. We have a group of passionate people, each with their own unique experience and ties to the sport. Every day, our team is working towards many exciting goals for The Rink Live as we work to make The Rink Live a household name.
When I’m not at work, I love to spend time with my wife Randi and daughter Lanni. I also have a close group of friends I enjoy golfing, cooking and spending time with. And with no surprise, I also enjoy watching and following hockey in my free time. It’s a great sport to love.
