I joined The Rink Live in 2021 after spending two years working on the social media and communications staff for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks baseball club. I also spent two seasons working for the Fargo Force in the USHL as a media and public relations intern, including during their Clark Cup championship season in 2017-18. Prior to joining the Force, I spent several seasons working with the Concordia hockey program on writing and live video projects.
I have been a hockey fan my whole life, from a childhood fascination with Patrick Roy and the goaltending position to countless trips to the Moorhead Sports Center for Cobber hockey games, so the chance to work in hockey again was an opportunity I jumped at with The Rink Live.
Some of my favorite memories are trips with my Dad to the Xcel Energy Center for state high school hockey tournaments – although, as a Moorhead, Minnesota Spuds fan, I can think of at least one way to improve those in the future! But simple things like walking into an empty rink and getting hit by the wave of cool air and smell of rubber bring back nostalgia from a lifetime of being a fan.
Outside of hockey, I am an avid golfer and love to spend time outdoors biking or playing pickleball with family. I’m a huge sports fan and follow many different sports throughout the year. During the pandemic I picked up an interest in cricket, and have been following it closely ever since. I also enjoy cooking and working on all sorts of video and photography projects in my free time.
