Gophers associate head coach Steve Miller shares memories of being on coaching staffs since 1988

Miller has worked for St. Mary's University, Miami, Denver, Providence, Air Force and Ohio State before taking the job with the University of Minnesota. He discusses his career on The Rink Live

Minnesota Gophers associate head coach Steve Miller spent the previous five seasons in a similar role at Ohio State, where he helped lead the Buckeyes to the 2018 NCAA Frozen Four and to the 2019 Big Ten regular season title.

Steve Miller has been a men's college hockey assistant coach since 1988. After three seasons at St. Mary's University, he moved up to the NCAA Division I level with Miami University in 1991. He has been an assistant coach at Denver (1994-2014), Providence (2014-15) and Ohio State (2017-22). He recently accepted the job as associate head coach for the University of Minnesota and he is reuniting with head coach Bob Motzko, who was an assistant when Miller was at Miami. Miller discusses the stops along his career with The Rink Live's Jess Myers and Mick Hatten.
