The Lakers took the lead 1-0 again when Austin Heidemann opened the scoring with 08.11 remaining in the second period.
The Golden Griffins came back and made it 1-1 after Cory Thomas scored the first goal in the period.
The third period was scoreless as well as the Lakers held on to its 2-1 lead and won.

The Golden Griffins were called for eight penalty minutes, while the Lakers spent four minutes in the penalty box.
