FARGO — Fargo North-South took down Fargo Davies in a shootout for a 3-2 victory on Tuesday in North Dakota girls hockey.
The Spruins won the shootout 4-3.
Abby Promersberger struck first just over two minutes into the first period to put North-South up 1-0. Megan Meyer then buried a power-play goal at the 12 minutes, 15 seconds mark of the opening frame to push the Spruins lead to 2-0.
Midway through the second, Taylor Klassen got the Eagles on the board to slice it to 2-1. Sandra Sampson scored the equalizer just under five minutes into the third period to eventually force overtime.
North-South goalie Olivia Gowin tallied 32 saves. Eagles netminder Kennedy Cook made 24 saves.
North-South climbed to 3-1 overall, while Davies dropped to 5-1.
