WEST FARGO — Grand Forks scored three goals in the second period to spark a 4-2 victory over West Fargo United in North Dakota girls hockey on Saturday.

Kaimbre Gourde scored in the first period to give United (1-2) a 1-0 lead. Shaley Richards, Morgan Stenseth and Emily Becker each buried a goal in the second period to put the KnightRiders (4-1) up 3-1.

Payton Hareland found the back of the net in the third period for United to cut it to 3-2, but Richards buried an empty-netter late in the third to seal the victory for Grand Forks.
