FARGO — Grand Forks Central rolled to a 4-1 East Region boys hockey victory over Fargo North on Friday at the Coliseum.

Nathaniel Fritel scored a power-play goal in the first period on an assist from Connor Holm for the Spartans' lone goal. North dropped to 1-1 this season.

Joseph Kennelly and Dominic Gerszewski each scored in the first period for the Knights (2-0). Brendan White found the back of the net in the second period and Cole Barta scored in the third to cap the scoring for Central.

North goalie Ryan Robison tallied 34 saves. The Knights boasted a 38-18 shots-on-goal advantage.
