Detroit Lakes eighth-grader Brynn Erickson scored for the first time in her young varsity career on Thursday night.

In the first period of the Lakers’ 13-3 loss to East Grand Forks, Erickson scored an unassisted goal to get Detroit Lakes on the board. Adisyn Strand and Emma Soley each scored in the final three minutes of the game. Coley has scored at least one goal in each of Detroit Lakes’ three games this season.

Emma Wahl made her first career start in goal for the Lakers and made 19 saves. East Grand Forks’ Kendra Emery, Sophia Lukach, and Black Schultz recorded multi-goal games for the Green Wave. Emery and Schultz each had four points.
