SAUK CENTRE — The Prairie Centre North Stars overcame a one-goal deficit to beat the Willmar boys hockey team, 6-2 Friday night at the Sauk Centre Civic Center.

Willmar took a 2-1 lead at 1:54 of the second period. First, Elbridge DeKraii scored a short-handed goal at 14:01 of the first period to tie it up at 1-1. Then, Ethan Stark scored, getting assists from Adam DeJong and Devin Sankey.

That lead held until 11:16 of the second period when Eli Fletcher tied it up and then scored the go-ahead goal at 12:45 short-handed.

Fletcher finished with three goals and an assist.

Preston Sorenson had two goals for Prairie Centre, which scored the game’s final five goals.

Willmar plays at 3 p.m. Saturday at Luverne.

Bemidji 3, River Lakes 1

Bemidji took a 3-0 lead and held on for the non-conference victory at River Lakes.

The Stars’ lone goal came from Kianna Roeske at 10:33 of the third period. McKynzie Cremers was credited with the assist.

Nettie Kimble stopped 30 of 31 shots on goal to get the victory for the Lumberjacks. Bemidji had 17 shots on goal.

River Lakes plays St. Cloud at 7:15 p.m. Thursday in Central Lakes Conference game In Paynesville.

Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato dropped its fourth consecutive game after being shut out on the road against Delano/Rockford.

The home team picked up a pair of goals in the first period and one each in the second and third.

Delano/Rockford goaltender Grace Glasrud stopped all 33 shots she face to collect the clean sheet. Dragons junior netminder Avery Stilwell finished with 24 saves.

Litchfield/DC’s next game is at 7 p.m. Tuesday against New Prague in Litchfield.
