Breckenridge-Wahpeton Blades victorious against Prairie Centre North Stars

The Breckenridge-Wahpeton Blades defeated the Prairie Centre North Stars 7-3 on Friday.

The Breckenridge-Wahpeton Blades defeated the Prairie Centre North Stars 7-3 on Friday.

The hosting Blades started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with Anabel Pausch scoring in the first period, assisted by Ashlyn Wohlers and Alison Hoerer.

The North Stars tied the game 1-1 in the first period when Natasha Ludwig struck.

The Blades took the lead in the first period when Reagan Wohlers scored, assisted by Kennedy Schuler.

The Blades scored one goals in second period an held the lead 3-2 going in to the second break.

The Blades increased the lead to 4-2 early into the third period when Holly Ovsak found the back of the net.

The Blades increased the lead to 5-2 early in the third when Alison Hoerer beat the goalie, assisted by Anabel Pausch.

Natasha Ludwig narrowed the gap to 5-3 one minute later.

Reagan Wohlers increased the lead to 6-3 four minutes later, assisted by Alison Hoerer and Karsyn Neppi.

Anabel Pausch increased the lead to 7-3 five minutes later, assisted by Ashlyn Wohlers.

The Blades travel to the Detroit Lakes Lakers on Thursday at 7 p.m. CST at Kent Freeman Arena. The North Stars will face International Falls at home on Sunday at 3 p.m. CST at Todd County Expo Arena.
