The Stars increased the lead to 2-0 late into the first when Anthony Fink scored, assisted by Edwin Kramer and Cole Pientka.
Three goals were scored in the second period, and the Stars led 4-1 going in to the third period.
The Stars increased the lead to 5-1 early in the third period when Jacob Philippi scored again, assisted by Bennett Schultz and Blake Schultz.

Edwin Kramer increased the lead to 6-1 two minutes later, assisted by Jace Griffin and Matthew Dotzler .
Bradey Blaschko increased the lead to 7-1 three minutes later, assisted by Jacob Philippi and Jace Griffin.
