The Orono Spartans might celebrate tonight after a victory in their playoff knock-out game against Minneapolis. With a final score of 8-5, the have secured their place in the next round of the playoffs.

The Minneapolis players opened strong, at the beginning of the game with Ronan Davis scoring in the first minute, goal assisted by Cooper Cirone.

The Spartans' Easton Sankey tied the game in the first period, assisted by Caden Bickett and Joey Greenagel.

The Spartans' Avery Anderson took the lead late in the first period.

The Minneapolis players scored four goals in second period an held the lead 5-4 going in to the second break.

The Spartans tied the score 5-5, after only 59 seconds into the third period when Tommy Lewin found the back of the net, assisted by Bradley Walker and Brody Finnegan.

Tommy Lewin took the lead five minutes later, assisted by Joey Mugaas.

Cayden Effertz increased the lead to 7-5 nine minutes later, assisted by Joey Mugaas.

Brody Finnegan increased the lead to 8-5 one minute later, assisted by Bradley Walker.
