Dennis Doeden


Dennis Doeden, former publisher of the Bemidji Pioneer, is a feature reporter. He is a graduate of Metropolitan State University with a degree in Communications Management.

He joined Forum Communications Company in 1979 and worked at The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead for 22 years in various newsroom positions. He was named publisher of the Bemidji Pioneer in 2001 and served in that post until 2019. He welcomes story ideas at or by phone at 218-333-9771.

BEMIDJI -- R.H. (Bob) Peters was an assistant men’s hockey coach at the University of North Dakota the fall of 1963, and the team was preparing for a two-game series in Grand Forks when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.
