The game-winning goal was scored by Denver's Jack Devine.
The first period was scoreless, and late in the second period, the Friars took the lead when Jaroslav Chmelar opened the scoring assisted by Liam Valente and Riley Duran.
Late, the Pioneers made it 1-1 with a goal from Carter Mazur.
The Pioneers made it 2-1 with a minute left when Massimo Rizzo scored the first goal, assisted by Carter Mazur and Sean Behrens.

Taige Harding tied the game 2-2 late into the third period. With this goal, the score was tied and then, the game went to overtime.
In overtime, it took 1:16 before Jack Devine scored the game-winner for the home team, assisted by Rieger Lorenz and Sean Behrens.
