Connecticut Huskies score and win with three goals in third period
Road-team Ohio State Buckeyes was still very much in the game and winning against league-leading Connecticut Huskies before the third period in the matchup. But then, UConn made an effort and fought back to win by 6-1.

Road-team Ohio State Buckeyes was still very much in the game and winning against league-leading Connecticut Huskies before the third period in the matchup. But then, UConn made an effort and fought back to win by 6-1.
The hosting team took the lead late in the first period, a goal by Matthew Wood. Andrew Lucas assisted.
The Buckeyes tied the game 1-1 late into the first when Kamil Sadlocha scored, assisted by Patrick Guzzo and Jake Wise.
The Huskies took the lead early in the second period when Ty Amonte beat the goalie, assisted by Matthew Wood.
Ryan Tverberg then tallied a goal five minutes into the period, making the score 3-1. Hudson Schandor and John Spetz assisted.

The Huskies increased the lead to 4-1 within the first minute of the third period when Jake Percival found the back of the net, assisted by Hudson Schandor.
Ty Amonte increased the lead to 5-1 eight minutes later, assisted by Justin Pearson and Matthew Wood.
Jake Flynn increased the lead to 6-1 just one minute later, assisted by Nick Capone.
