ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The second group for the Huskies Hockey Happy Hour video podcast all played on St. Cloud State's first team to win an NCAA Division I playoff game in 2010. Brett Barta, Jordy Christian, Ryan Lasch, Garrett Raboin and Garrett Roe were all on that team.
The players reunite from their homes in Minnesota, California and Virginia.
Barta played defense for the Huskies from 2007-11. In 115 career college games, he had 23 assists, 28 points and 18 penalty minutes. He is an assistant boys hockey coach at Andover High School.
Christian played forward for the Huskies from 2008-12. In 134 college games, he had 12 goals, 38 points and 40 penalty minutes. He is a district marketing manager for Federated Mutual Insurance Company and is a youth hockey coach in Moorhead.
Lasch played forward for the Huskies from 2006-10. In 161 college games, he had 79 goals, 104 assists, 183 points and 98 penalty minutes. He is the school's career leader in points, is second in goals, fourth in assists and was a top 10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award in 2008. He plays hockey professionally in Sweden.
Raboin played defense for the Huskies from 2006-10. In 156 college games, he had 21 goals, 62 assists, 83 points and 162 penalty minutes. He is ninth in career scoring for defensemen at St. Cloud State. A two-year captain, he played professionally in Finland before becoming an assistant coach for the Huskies (2012-18) and is an assistant coach for the University of Minnesota.
Roe played forward for the Huskies from 2007-11. In 156 college games, he had 65 goals, 113 assists, 178 points and 240 penalty minutes. He and Lasch were both three-time All-WCHA picks and Roe is the school's career leader in assists, is third in career points and seventh in career goals. Roe played for Team USA in the 2018 Winter Olympics and plays professionally in Switzerland.
