Clarkson Golden Knights grab extra point vs. St. Lawrence Saints in overtime

Clarkson's Gretchen Branton scored the game-winning goal.

The hosting Golden Knights opened strong, with Olivia Hanson scoring in the first minute, a goal assisted by Sara Swiderski and Darcie Lappan.

The Saints' Julia Gosling tied the game 1-1 in the middle of the first period, assisted by Anna Segedi.

The Saints took the lead with another goal from Julia Gosling late in the first, assisted by Abby Hustler and Chloé Puddifant.

Two goals were scored in the second period, and the Saints led 3-2 going in to the third period.

The Golden Knights tied the score 3-3 early into the third period when Gabrielle David beat the goalie, assisted by Sara Swiderski and Nicole Gosling.

Nicole Gosling took the lead two minutes later, assisted by Stephanie Markowski and Darcie Lappan.

Abby Hustler tied the game 4-4 late into the third, assisted by Katina Duscio and Julia Gosling. With this tie the game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 2:11 before Gretchen Branton scored the game-winner for the home team, assisted by Stephanie Markowski and Darcie Lappan.

The win over the Saints means that the Golden Knights have five home wins in a row.
