Champlin Park/Coon Rapids beat Eden Prairie in overtime

The hosting Eden Prairie players started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with Natalie McNeil scoring in the first period, a goal assisted by Lauren Pottinger and Paige Holt.

The Eden Prairie players increased the lead to 2-0 in the first period when Addy Mitchell struck, assisted by Lauren Pottinger.

The Champlin Park/Coon Rapids' players Emma Olson narrowed the gap to 3-1 in the first period, assisted by Shelby Julien.

The Eden Prairie players scored zero goal in second period an held the lead 3-2 going in to the second break.

Brylei DelCastillo tied the game 3-3 early into the third period, assisted by Kylie Aswegan and Kyla Keding. With this tie the game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 7:09 before Brooklyn Johnson scored the game-winner for the road team, assisted by Lily McKenzie.
