The Saints took the lead at 14:09 into the first period, with a goal scored by Aleksi Peltonen. Luc Salem and David Jankowski assisted on the play.
After that the game entered an indecisive standstill. Griffin Mendel scored at 14:37 into the second, assisted by Skyler Brind'Amour, to give the Bobcats the lead.
But St. Lawrence quickly scored two more goals in the third period to take a commanding lead.
The Bobcats narrowed and then closed the gap at 3-3 with goals from Brendan Less and Skyler Brind'Amour in the third period.

The Bobcats were called for six penalty minutes, while the Saints spent 10 minutes in the penalty box.
