The Augsburg Auggies won at home on Saturday, handing the Northland Lumberjacks a defeat 5-1.

The hosting Auggies opened strong, with Dylan Schneider scoring within the first minute of the first period, a goal assisted by Michael Redmon.

The Lumberjacks tied the score 1-1 in the first period when Ty Brown opened the scoring, assisted by Andrew Liwiski and Zach Ross.

The Auggies took the lead in the very last seconds of the first period, with a goal from Grant Reichenbacher, assisted by Daniel Chladek and Mason Palmer.

Three goals were scored in the second period, and the Auggies led 5-1 going in to the third period.
