Augsburg Auggies beat UW-Eau Claire Blugolds

The Augsburg Auggies won their home game against the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds on Friday, ending 3-1.

The first period was scoreless, and early into the second period, the Auggies took the lead when Jake Hale opened the scoring.

In the second period, Nick Woodward scored a goal, assisted by Jarod Blackowiak and Michael Ferrandino, making the score 2-0.

The Blugolds narrowed the gap to 2-1 within the first minute when Jack Johnston scored, assisted by Kyler Grundy and Aaron Swanson.

The Auggies increased the lead to 3-1 with 01.06 remaining of the third period after a goal from Gavin Holland, assisted by Dylan Schneider.

Both teams will be back in action on Saturday when the Auggies host Northland at 7 p.m. CST and the Blugolds welcome the Bethel Royals at 7 p.m. CST.
