The first period was scoreless, and late in the second period, the Sun Devils took the lead when Lukas Sillinger opened the scoring assisted by Josh Doan and Matthew Kopperud.

Ryan O'Reilly increased the lead to 2-0 early into the third period, assisted by Ryan Alexander and Jack Jensen.

The Sun Devils made it 3-0 when Christopher Grando netted one, assisted by Jack Judson and Jacob Semik late into the third. The 3-0 goal held up as the game winner.
