The hosting Tommies started off strong and took the lead right after the beginning of the game with Ryan O'Neill scoring within the first minute, a goal assisted by Lucas Wahlin.
The Nanooks tied the game 1-1 with a goal from Anton Rubtsov in the middle of the first period, assisted by Kyle Gaffney.
The Nanooks took the lead late in the first when Matt Koethe scored.
The Nanooks scored two goals in second period an held the lead 4-1 going in to the second break.

Lucas Wahlin narrowed the gap to 4-2 early into the third period, assisted by Jarrett Lee and Quinton Pepper.
