ALEXANDRIA, Minn. — In the heart of central Minnesota, a faith-based prep hockey academy has its sights on developing a world-class program for high school students.

In Northstar Christian Academy’s inaugural season, the Knights went undefeated in the North American Prospects Hockey League and won its league championship.

The Alexandria-based team recruited high school players from across the continent, with this year’s roster comprised of 23 players from 11 states, and the team is led by coaches with NHL pedigrees.
